Self Education vs College

Do you wonder whether you need college to become a successful person?

The short answer is no, not necessarily. Let’s talk about why this is true.

I want to outline to you some of the best self-education tools out there, and also stress the importance of college at the same time.

Self Education

There are pros and cons to pretty much every decision you make in life. Let’s examine the pros and cons of self education.

Pros:

  • Learn the information you find relevant. Learn what pertains to you, not all the fluff. Learning relevant information will improve performance in that niche.
  • Work at your own pace. You don’t have to blaze through a chapter of material in one week. This allows you to truly absorb the material.
  • You can learn as much or as little as you want. This allows you to focus your learning on Quality over Quantity.
  • The cost of self education can be extremely cheap. Most self-education resources are free, and some are much cheaper than a tuition payment.

Cons:

  • You have to stay self-motivated. For some people this is easy to manage, but for many, it is easy to ignore your educational responsibilities.
  • No structure. The lack of structure or planning in self-education can be a huge deterrent. Often times you will find yourself jumping from topic to topic with no rhyme or reason.
  • Filtering quality resources. Sometimes you can’t tell whether or not a resource is a quality resource. Everyone can learn from Wikipedia, but that doesn’t mean that it is providing you with true and correct information.
  • Opinions over facts. Most self-education systems are put in place to learn about things that you don’t really learn about in college. This can mean that there is a large amount of opinion associated with your learning.

College

Just as there are pros and cons with self-education, the same applies to college.

Pros:

  • Structured learning process. You will be learning within a program that has been well established and is structured in order to propel you to the next level of learning.
  • Networking. Networking in college can be one of the biggest benefits of attending. Building a system of peers and colleagues can lead to job opportunities or growth opportunities in a particular industry.
  • Proven track record. Usually a university or college is accredited. Therefore there coursework is proven.
  • A degree helps. Higher paying jobs generally require some sort of specialization. This is true even in a manual labor sense. If you attend college you are likely to find a higher paying day job.
  • Entertainment value. You can’t deny that college is usually a blast. If you don’t attend a commuter school there are tons of opportunities to get involved in your college community and truly make it a well-rounded experience.

Cons:

  • Cost. Colleges and Universities are steadily increasing tuition. Often times many cannot afford to attend prestigious universities. This causes less likelihood of your degree paying off in the future.
  • Time to learn. Usually with structured programs, there is a designated amount of time you are stuck there. While this can be good, the pace isn’t left up to you. This forces you to learn at their pace, and can actually waste time or cause poor performance.
  • This isn’t the environment for the entrepreneur. If you want to learn how to be an entrepreneur you have to be self-taught to an extent. College doesn’t generally teach you the stuff behind being dedicated to your own business.

The Best Option For You?

I have personal experience with both self-education and college. I have attended a 4-year university and obtained my undergraduate degree in engineering. In addition, I am completing my graduate degree in mechanical engineering in the near future.

I can tell you, college will set you up for success when you self-educate post college.

I learned a lot in college, and everyone’s experience is different. However, I do know the most important thing I learned. I do understand what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur and I have to say college did contribute to this.

Critical Thinking and Problem Solving Skills… The absolute most important thing I ever learned at a university was how to think critically and solve problems.

Setting up problems takes structure, and self-education may not direct you down the path of structure. This is why I find a university education to be extremely important.

Granted…you can learn structure on your own, and how to solve problems, or at least methods to solving problems. The problem with this path though, is that you are not faced with the same complicated variety of problems that you face in college.

Self-Education still has its place…

In order to get the most out of your college education, you must continue to learn. Ian Leslie’s book Curious is one of my favorites. He relates success to your desire to know.

If you are pushing yourself down a path of self education then you obviously have the desire to learn and know more. This is the desire that will make you a successful entrepreneur.

What you want to learn is completely up to you. Whether you want to learn a specific trade, how to market to a particular audience online, how to build your own successful brick and mortar business…whatever your passion may be, there are resources out there for you.

My personal favorite resource is one that I use daily. My self-education is perpetuated by the drive to understand everything there is about online digital marketing.

I learn more every day about catering to audiences and building the best possible site available to users. Digital marketing is nothing like what I studied in college, so I am forced to use the skills developed in college to educate myself on the tricks of the trade.

My Conclusion

I think the best option for you… is a combination of college and self-education. Both have their benefits as outlined above, and when combined these two forms of education become a force like no other.

You are taught how to learn, study, and develop skills in college that will allow you to make a living. However, you must further your education after learning these skills in order to make a fortune.

I personally create passive income through Affiliate Marketing. You can too.

If you’re interested in Affiliate Marketing, I have the resources that you need right now.

Rags to Riches

A lot of people that visit Incite Wealth are looking for a way to escape their day job. A lot of times these people are broke. That word shouldn’t scare you or hurt your feelings, I’ve been broke myself.

There was a point in time in college where I was buying bags of frozen chicken and 11-12 lb bags of rice because it was the cheapest thing I could eat.

This was an important time in my life, because learning how to sustain myself when I was broke has allowed me to be a smarter spender now that I have attained a bit of financial freedom.

Let’s talk about some of the pitfalls that keep your every day person from becoming a millionaire…

Over Spending

This is probably the biggest problem I see with your average person. This is especially a problem for those that are broke. Those broke people will never be rich.

Spending more than you earn, or spending more than necessary is something that many people have been brainwashed to believe is okay.

I’m here to tell you that this is not the case. Over spending will singlehandedly keep you from becoming a millionaire and I will guarantee that.

How many people do you know that are buried in debt?

It doesn’t matter what kind of debt, it can be credit card debt (the most common), over extended auto loans, or tons of student loans.

No matter the type of debt, it restricts people from obtaining their financial goals. The modern mentality promotes this lifestyle. There is a perpetual belief that leveraging your credit is the only way to have the things you want. False. Pay cash like I do. (P.S. It feels good to walk into a dealership and drop cash on a desk.)

Do not over spend. Eventually any money that you DO earn will have to contribute to repaying your debts and you will never get ahead. You will never be able to invest in real estate, or invest in your online business, or become a successful entrepreneur.

Lifestyle Inflation

So maybe you have achieved some success in your life already. Maybe you are here just to increase this success.

However, are you allowing your lifestyle to be inflated because you make a few more bucks? If you are spending more because you make more, you are contributing to your own financial failure and you don’t even realize it.

I understand the desires for a Luxury Lifestyle. I too live a little bit of a luxury lifestyle, but I have worked my way up to that by living below my means for as long as I can remember.

If you don’t know what I mean when I talk about lifestyle inflation… let me explain:

Say you currently drive a 2010 Toyota Corolla, and it gets you from point A to B, it’s reliable, low maintenance, has low enough mileage, and it’s paid off.

Now, you get a raise at your day job…Say this adds an extra 5k a year to your income (maybe that’s a bit high but you get it). Now you take that extra 5k a year, run out and buy a brand new BMW.

You have now taken on a car payment, violating rule number one and putting yourself in unnecessary debt. You have also just committed direct lifestyle inflation (yes this is a crime while you are building your empire).

The BMW is the exact same thing as your Corolla, it’s reliable, low maintenance, has low mileage…but it is NOT paid off.

That 5k a year could be contributing to an investment of some sort. If you were to put it towards your entrepreneurial endeavors this could turn into more money! People often blow their tax return in the same fashion…See my article on what to do with your tax returns to learn about proper investment opportunities.

Many people don’t realize that they are holding themselves back financially by inflating their lifestyle. They begin to buy flashier things because they value instant gratification over the long term benefits.

The truth is… you can leave below your means… you were likely broke at one point, and living like your broke when you aren’t is the key!

Avoiding These Pitfalls

I know some of these habits are easy to fall into so I have a couple options for you to remain consistent with your spending. This will benefit you when you do become rich, so start now…

  • Create a solid budget and stick to it. You likely have a budget when you’re broke because you have no choice. Good. Create a broke person budget, and hold true to this broke person budget until you are no longer broke.
  • Use my 5-10% Rule. The 5-10% Rule essentially means that you whatever increase you see in salary or general/passive income, you only increase your spending by 5-10% of that increase. Therefore, if your income increases by $1,000 a year, you only spend $50-$100 more per year.
  • Remind yourself of the necessities. I personally have a list of necessities pinned to my bulletin board in my bedroom. This list is of the things that I ACTUALLY NEED. Create your own list (be honest) and I think you will be surprised at how few things you need to sustain yourself.
  • Pursue your dreams. I lied when I said I don’t increase my spending significantly. Sometimes I increase my spending by the entire amount of my income increase. This spending, however, is directly reinvested in my business endeavors. Usually this income increase comes from these businesses, so an appropriate use of these funds is scaling up.

What’s left?

Get Rich…

This will not happen overnight. If you are conscious of your spending however, and you learn how to spend like a broke person than your path to riches will be much shorter and less stressful.

I personally had a lot of outstanding debt because I have made these mistakes myself. Guess what I had to do with all of my online revenue? Payoff my debt.

Now that I live debt free I spend like I am still eating chicken and rice every day, and the rest is invested in business. This is why I’m successful, and this is why it will be easy for you to be a success as well.

Remember:

Rich people stay rich because they keep their money or use it to make more.

If you have experience with overspending or lifestyle inflation, I want to hear YOUR story. Have you corrected this? If so, how did you do it and how do you feel now? Share in the comments below!

How To Make Money Online For Free

I am often asked how I am able to make money online for free. There’s an easy answer to that question… so read on my friend.

Many of you are here because you’re struggling to make money in the real world. I understand turning to building online income is the most ideal scenario for you.

Maybe you have a family at home, and you don’t have time for a full time job. Maybe you need additional income but you have responsibilities in the evenings that don’t allow you to pick up those extra hours working night shifts.

Maybe you’re just a teenager and looking to make some bucks in the afternoons. Maybe you’re a college student trying to avoid the grind of the dining hall dish room (I’ve been there, it’s not my favorite form of income).

What if you don’t have the money to fire up a brick & mortar business? What if you don’t have any creative ideas for your own product? What if you don’t even know where to start?

Whoever you are… and whatever your goal is… you can create a form of income, you can create an online business, and you can do it absolutely free.

There not a single reason to get bogged down by your background, or the questions that we’ve all asked ourselves many times before.

I want to help you build your own website where you can talk about the things you love, and learn how to monetize it for free.

There are easy steps you must take to become successful online…

Ditch The Negative Mentality

If you have ever had a negative attitude about your finances or your abilities… get rid of it right now. If you are unmotivated and you can’t see yourself as being successful in the future, your thought process is all wrong.

Matthew McConaughey said in his famous Oscar acceptance speech that his hero was himself in 10 years. I encourage you to listen to it here. Be your own hero in ten years, strive for greatness, and don’t stop until you achieve it. When you hit that ten year mark, you should have a new hero… That hero? You in ten more years…

A negative mentality will get you nowhere in life, those who succeed travel down a road paved with failure. No successful entrepreneur that I have personally spoken to has described to me a path filled with daisies and butterflies.

All of these people were up late, grinding away, becoming more and more passionate about their dreams every day they worked towards them. When they failed, they didn’t quit, and now they have achieved great success.

Find A Passion

I personally know people that have created a steady income from video games. They can film themselves playing video games on YouTube and bankroll. If that doesn’t sound like a good gig to you, I don’t know what does.

The point is, these people are passionate about what they are doing. Do you think someone would want to play video games on YouTube for people if they didn’t love to play video games? Do you think I would write about the pursuit of happiness and wealth if I didn’t love the direction my own life is heading in?

Be passionate about whatever it is that you want in life. Make sure to revolve your online presence around your passion as well. I personally have a passion for fitness and have since started a page involving healthy habits and a fit lifestyle.

The reason that this is a successful web endeavor is because I genuinely love helping people reach their goals. Whether those goals be mental health, physical health, nutritional goals, or financial goals, I want to see people succeeding all around me.

Stay Away From The Scam Artists

These days it is so tough to see past all the fluff that is out there. Every single day I see people getting suckered into these MLM schemes, which I wrote about in one of my recent articles here.

In addition to these online schemes you have all these people selling you “digital content” that is supposed to help you become rich in 5 easy steps, or build wealth while doing absolutely nothing.

Well… welcome to the real world. While you can do it for FREE, you can’t do it without putting in some hard work and dedication. You ever heard the saying you get out what you put in? That’s still the truth today, even on the internet. The fact is, I haven’t found the magic shortcut, but I have figured out how to reduce the learning curve significantly.

Understand that this is a new age… you don’t have to spend a ton of money to make money! Quit letting people lie to your face and tell you that you need to buy a particular product in order to generate your own revenue. That is an absolute BS statement that these people sell you just to convince you to buy their useless products.

With all the free resources for building websites, blogging, and learning out there today… you don’t have to pay a dime to get started.

Take Those First Steps

Not many people out there can say that they learned to walk before they could crawl. Yes there are a few, but they are an anomaly.

I am always reading about people within the Wealthy Affiliate community that have struggled for up to a year before seeing a real positive income come from their online endeavors.

Granted, most people become successful online much earlier than that… Here are some examples of people who have done so.  Feel free to sift through any of those WA members profiles and you’ll see one common theme: repetitive success.

The truth is, they have a formula, they have the help and support system, and they have it all for free. I highly encourage you to check out the system I use, and I really hope you’ll sign up for free and get in touch with me when you do.

I know you too can be successful, have the ability to travel the world, live financially free, and explore life the way you’ve always wanted to. Check out my honest thoughts on the Wealthy Affiliate platform that I have integrated into my daily life.

Any questions? Feel free to ask in the comment section and I’ll make sure I cover everything you want to know in my response. If this article helped to motivate you to take your first steps to making money online for free, please share it with your friends!

How To Win In Vegas

I’m going to tell you a story. This is a story about the fabulous Sin City and what I’ve experienced every time I adventure to this wonderland of empty promise and pretend riches. Most people don’t win in Vegas, it’s statistically proven.

I DO. And I’m going to tell you how in this article.

If you really want to know how to win in Vegas you have to understand a few things, it’s not easy, and the definition of “Winning” here is pretty loose.

Why Do People Go To Las Vegas?

I’m sure most of you have heard about all the insane times your friends have had in Vegas, and I’m sure that most of you are here reading this because you either want to, or already have, planned a trip to probably one of the most charactered cities in the world.

Depending on the occasion, you may all be heading to Vegas for many different reasons. I’ll list a few of the main reasons below:

  1. Bachelor/Bachelorette Parties: A ton of people find this as their travel destination right when they are on the verge of getting married. This is usually ill-advised but your friends want that one last hoorah of freedom with you. Now your blindfolded at Caesar’s Palace at 4am when they said you were just hitting the local Chili’s down the road.
  2. The Club Scene/Music: Vegas is a huge hot spot for resident DJ’s and artists from all over the globe. There are many top acts in Vegas including world class DJ’s and pioneers like Steve Aoki for example. In addition to the DJ scene you can always stop in and see J-Lo for a night, that’s iconic in itself.
  3. The Shows: Everything from Cirque Du Soleil all the way to the Pirate Show outside of Treasure Island, you can see it all in Vegas. Some of these shows are pretty expensive though so prepare your wallet.
  4. The Architecture/Rides: I know I probably shouldn’t lump these into one category, but most of the people that are in Vegas for one of these reasons is really drawn to the other attraction. This is essentially the category all your typical tourists fall into or people who have never visited Sin City before.
  5. Gambling/Casinos: Probably the most popular reason to go to Vegas is gambling. It is without a doubt the hottest spot for sitting down at a table and throwing some chips around. Now while there is money to be won gambling, I want to explain to you how I look at this “sport” so to speak…

The Secret To Gambling

Everyone thinks that there is some magic formula to gambling.

They imagine themselves coming straight out of the movie 21 and counting Blackjack until they become Millionaires and the couple bumps and bruises they obtain in the process are completely worth it.

Now don’t get me wrong, there are odds and strategies to winning poker games, roulette, craps, pretty much any game you play. However, these odds are usually set against you, especially in a city where the casinos can easily take your money after feeding you a few drinks.

There are a few different key points to focus on when gambling, and the secret to gambling encompasses all of them.

  • Read: My personal suggestion is that you read up on all the different types of games before you go blasting into Vegas like a runaway locomotive. It’s important to understand particular odds of individual games, when to bet on your hand, and when to throw in the towel. It also helps understanding where to bet based on best odds of winning.
  • Casino Selection: So as much fun as it is to gamble at some of the super casinos on the Las Vegas Strip, you have to realize your odds are decreasing here. Whether it is through more decks on the poker tables, or higher cost of hands, you will probably lose money faster at some of the huge casinos than you would at the smaller casinos on Fremont Street.
  • Don’t Drink Too Much: If you start to drink too much, you will most certainly lose your money quickly. Your inhibitions go out the window when you drink so you are more likely to bet big and pretend like you’re going to win it. This is usually not the case (the odds are against you remember). Free drinks will come at you all night, make sure to work in some water. Check out Incite Fitness for some more on drinking and hydration.
  • EXPECT TO LOSE:  ALWAYS go into Vegas expecting to lose. This is the secret to gambling. As long as you aren’t hoping and dreaming of getting rich and you follow some of the steps above, you’ll win. No I don’t mean you’re going to win a bunch of money after you read about and understand different poker games. No I don’t mean selecting the right casino is going to make you a fortune. Not getting hammered won’t make you a billionaire either.

Definition Of Winning

I define winning as gaining the most you can out of the experience. I enjoy gambling, but I consider it an expense for the brief getaway.

I’ve spent a decent amount of time in Vegas and I never come out in shock about how much I’ve lost (or won, I really have won a couple of times).

This mindset keeps me sane. Understand that you must never use money that you HAVE to have to pay your bills or money that is considered your safety net to gamble. This is not safe.

If you want safe investments please read more about being an entrepreneur online. You can start out completely free and this method won’t deplete your bank account in one hand.

There are ways to benefit from gambling even when you don’t win. Every time I go to Vegas my stay is almost completely free. From free rooms, to free food, to free night club admission. I can go to Vegas and my only expense will be what I am willing to spend on Three Card Poker or at the Sports Book.

How To Go To Vegas For Free?

Join a rewards program! There are a couple major programs in Vegas including M Life Rewards that encompasses the Aria, Bellagio, MGM, Mandalay Bay, and more.

In addition you can sign up for the TR Rewards Program (my personal favorite) and take advantage of earning at The Rio, The Linq, Caesar’s, Bally’s, Harrah’s, Paris, and more.

If you have a budget for gambling, you’ll usually play enough to earn a decent amount of points. These points get you huge discounts at restaurants within these casinos in addition to comped/discounted rooms.

The fantastic thing here is, if your room is free you may want to spend a little more on the tables. The casinos know and understand this, so they are winning also.

A free trip to Vegas is winning in my book. If you were ever wondering how to go to Vegas for free, here is your answer. I understand you may say “it’s not technically free, you’re paying for it by gambling.”

I look at things as being free when I was going to do them anyway. If I was going to throw a couple thousand dollars at a table, why not get a comped suite out of it? What would you do? Thought so…

As always please leave a comment below and talk about your experiences with Las Vegas! If you have any questions for me about rewards program’s, what they offer, or how they work feel free to ask below as well!

Disclaimer: Gambling is a HUGE risk. Do not partake in gambling unless you fully understand what the repercussions of losing are. Do not gamble more than you can afford. If you have a gambling problem there are websites that you can turn to for help anonymously. This article is not meant to encourage anyone to gamble. Simply to explain how to get the most out of your experience gambling.

Overview

Writing Jobs Online is a service that essentially pairs freelance writers with popular blogs, ebook creators, and sales websites offering paid, online writing work.

Writing Jobs Online has a propriety partnership with many major companies. This allows writers to be connected with some of the top online resources and be paid accordingly. Examples of these can be seen below:

Who Is It For?

Writing Jobs Online is for those attempting to pursue financial freedom, set their own hours, avoid the crazy workplace environment, or those who want to be their own boss. It can also be used as a great way to supplement your regular income through part-time writing after work or on the weekends. If you’ve ever asked yourself “How Can I Work From Home?” or “How Do I Make Money Online?” then this can be a great tool for you.

There is absolutely no restriction on where you are from in the world. Writing Jobs Online allows anyone from ANYWHERE to join their site and begin contributing to the needs of those who request freelance writing. Here are some examples of current countries represented on Writing Jobs Online:

In addition, AGE doesn’t matter. You can be a teenager still in high school or a retiree who just enjoys writing in their spare time. No matter who you are, you are eligible to sign up for Writing Jobs Online.

Cost and Sign Up

The initial cost of the service is $1. This allows you access to the full site and resources for 7 days in which you must cancel if you do not wish to stay subscribed. However, I think after you begin to see results you’ll want to stick with it.

What’s even better is that if you end up not liking it, it wasn’t what you were hoping for, or you didn’t see any income or return, you can ask for your money back within 60 days no questions asked.

Internal Features

The good:
  1. They maintain 24/7 support and service in case you ever get stuck as a writer or need help navigating their site or a customer site. Additionally, they provide online coursework to help take you from a beginner level writer to an advanced writer in just weeks.
  2. $1 Trial and a 60 Day Moneyback Guarantee. Essentially you can try this product before you buy it. Usually that is a good sign coming from online platforms like Writing Jobs Online. Often times sites will not allow you a trial period because they have something to hide.
  3. Full payout. You get paid for every job you take on 100%. There are no commissions taken from you and you are not limited to earning 20-30% commissions like most freelance sites.
  4. You can pick and choose which jobs you take. You are not forced to write about something you don’t take an interest in, which makes it fun. When you are having fun making money, I don’t really know what else you can ask for!
The bad:
  1. The time you have to dedicate to freelance writing is pretty substantial. You cannot generate a completely passive income in this manner, that should be done through building your own website and marketing there.
  2. The payouts are not always the greatest for the work you put in. Sometimes you will write something and realize that it was probably worth more than what you are making.
  3. The paychecks come just like a regular job. You see your check on the 15th and the 1st, so this is not an instant gratification scenario for freelance writers.

Personal Accomplishments/Failures

Personally I have made over $2,000 in my short time after joining Writing Jobs Online. I have been with them about 3 months and I honestly don’t write a whole lot having to run and digitally market multiple websites on my own time and balance a full time career. This payout more than covers the $27 a month that I pay for the service and I will continue to use it for as long as I am getting paid.

I do prefer generating a passive income through site management, but a few extra bucks on the weekend never hurt anyone.

Final Thoughts

This is not a get rich quick scheme like you see all over the internet. You must put in the legwork (or hand work I guess) in order to make money freelance writing. However, if you dedicate yourself to freelance writing online you will be able to earn a very sustainable income.

I personally know multiple people making thousands per month just through freelance writing. This directly correlates to digital marketing and can actually make you a better writer for your own sites (hence the reason I do it). For the best digital marketing platform that I’ve found, check out my review of Wealthy Affiliate. Combining these two platforms can really help anyone in pursuit of an online income grow tremendously.

 Fortune or Famine?

At the end of my reviews I like to include whether I think this is a service or product that will make you a fortune or leave you in famine. Personally I think that Writing Jobs Online will make you a better writer, pay you great money for not that much time invested, contribute to lifestyle enhancement and finally financial freedom in the long term. My opinion: FORTUNE.

If you have any personal experience with Writing Jobs Online and would like to share please feel free to comment below!

My Tax Return

Tis’ the season of Tax Returns! For some this season brings joy (those of us who don’t have to fork over the dough), for others, immense amounts of pain in their wallet region.

As much as it is a chore to go in and have someone prepare your taxes for you or take care of your own tax forms at home, we all enjoy that big fat check that comes a couple weeks later. You may be wondering, however, what should I do with MY TAX RETURN?

Well first, let’s talk about what people usually do with their tax return.

Generally Speaking, They Blow It

When most people receive their federal or state tax return they usually have in mind that one special item that they’ve been eyeing for months. Whether this be a brand new article of clothing, a motorcycle, a jet ski, a boat…who knows, maybe gambling? While all of these things may seem like the best use of your money, are they really?

Let’s talk about what you’re gaining from the purchase of that shiny new watch at your local department store, or online at your favorite retailer.

Essentially you are paying for a fashion statement here, correct? Most everyone these days has a smartphone or at least a flip phone that can tell you what time it is. Don’t get me wrong, I wear watches every day, it is quick and convenient to check your watch over pulling out your iPhone and I really like the way that they set off some of the other things I’m wearing. I’m a firm believer in the wristwatch as a staple accessory of your wardrobe.

But is this really where you need to be spending that money that you’ve already given to the government and had no expectations of seeing again? Usually people have no idea how much they are going to receive on their returns when heading into these tax appointments, so why not pretend like that money doesn’t even exist?

I’ve been in your position, I’ve received hefty sums back on my returns, and to be honest, I’ve spent it on some really stupid crap. Quite frankly, I wish I had that money back to contribute to things that will make me MORE money.

You might be wondering then what I suggest you do with this cash. I’m going to tell you right now.

3 Ways to Turn Your Tax Return Into More Money

  1. Save it and invest in real estate in the future. Did you know that recently the percentage of people who own the home they live in has dropped to around 64%? This is lower than home ownership in 1994, and with the increasing population you would thing that this rate would be increasing.

So why would you go blow your hard earned tax return when realistically this could be a small down payment on a home, if you save your return for 2-3 years, depending on how much you receive back each year, and combine this with additional savings you generate throughout the year, you could easily be a home owner in 2-3 years!

I understand that the housing market crash of 2008 was a serious setback for many people. If you haven’t seen The Big Short I highly suggest you watch it, especially if you already have a general understanding of markets and the way they operate. But, this is really no reason to be scared of buying.

Ideally, you want to make sure you can pay your mortgage in case your home is not rented (if an investment property), and if this remains true, then renting it out will essentially pay for the investment property overtime, and after your mortgage is paid off this is money in your pocket every single month.

The average price of a home in the US is down to around $188k, this means that if you are receiving a $5-10k tax return, you could easily be putting down 5-10% after two years. This is especially great if you are a first time home buyer.

2. Invest in the Stock Market. Many are scared of the stock market because they don’t understand the trends and way things operate. There are multiple types of investments you can make, and very generally speaking, you can either go after a stock for the short term or the long term.

Now there are other options, ETF’s, Options, Bonds, CD, but personally I’m a fan of investing in particular companies. For those who plan to go after the short term trading ideal I highly suggest looking into the teachings of Tim Sykes. This guy turned $12,000 into over $4million and is still going strong.

His story is quite fascinating, he runs a couple penny stocking chatrooms, and really provides a ton of great training on day trading as long as some free YouTube video lessons. Check out his site for free and see what you think. I personally pay for Tim’s Alerts and I make back the cost of the membership in 1 or 2 good trades.

Investing long term is a bit different story. Not everyone can play the market at particular times of day (morning spikes, afternoon power hour) so that’s where long term investing comes in. For long term stock plays I hold true to the teachings of Warren Buffet and Benjamin Graham.

I know I mentioned before that millionaires have around 7 forms of income, if you want to achieve this goal, then you need to diversify your income now. Stop wasting money, start investing money.

3. The third option…and my personal favorite…is to buy something classic or antique that will only appreciate in value rather than depreciate. If you run out and buy a brand new car off the lot, usually you will end up in debt, and quickly become upside down on the car as it’s value immediately depreciates just because you drove it off the lot

The difference between buying mid-tier new vehicles and high tear used vehicles is extreme. I’ve personally purchased a number of classic vehicles, and all are now worth more than what I paid for them. The value of classics goes up every year as less and less of these remain in good driving condition.

If I ever NEEDED to sell these vehicles, my Return on Investment (ROI) would be substantial, in addition, I got to cruise around in a nice classic on the weekends for a few years. As long as you take care of your nice things you’ll see a positive impact on these types of purchases.

However, be careful not to sink your money into something with mechanical troubles, etc.

In addition to cars, classic or antique jewelry is also a quality investment. Granted, many things fluctuate with the price of gold which is extremely unpredictable. I personally would invest in a classic Rolex limited edition or something that will only become more rare and valued as time goes on.

My motto is essentially: “Only spend money on things that will make you money.”

Now this isn’t necessarily 100% true as I do like to have nice things, but definitely look for opportunities to turn investments into profits.

FACT: The number one goal of any business is to earn a profit. Treat your finances like a business, make your number 1 goal earning a profit.

I hope that I provided you with some quality ideas on what to do with your tax return this tax season. If you have any more clever ideas on where to invest your money please leave me a comment below! I’d love to hear your input.

The Millionaire Switch Review

Product: The Millionaire Switch for Men

By: Jason Capital

Price: Free First Video (Sales Pitch), $9 Initial Sign Up

Rating: 1.0/5

WARNING

If you happen to be a female and you are interested in building wealth for yourself…Steer very clear of this website all together unless you enjoy feeling degraded, put down, objectified, and everything else that women shouldn’t feel while surfing the internet.

Overview

So I’m sure that everyone stumbles upon Jason Capital’s program “The Millionaire Switch for Men” looking for ways to earn money online, generate a passive income, and ultimately build a generational wealth or achieve financial freedom.

These are very reasonable and attainable goals. However, this product is selling something completely different, SEX. No, I don’t mean that he’s selling sex directly, I mean that Jason’s program promotes getting laid as the primary reason behind becoming wealthy and he promises to tell you how to do both with his training.

If you want to see just what I mean you can jump straight to his first video here. It’s pretty self explanatory in my opinion.

The Introduction

So initially Jason pops up on the screen pounding some fancy water bottle that he then throws in the pool behind him which I’m assuming is located at his “mansion”. I don’t know if this guy is really a millionaire or has just been thrown into some lucky situations and photographed those experiences well.

Jason moves forward showing you him preaching about getting laid and making money just by “flipping a switch” in your head that apparently ignites the millionaire mentality that everyone so commonly references. The listeners at this meet-up? All middle-aged men looking to score one way or another.

I have to say initially I was excited for what Jason had to say because I liked the enthusiasm and I don’t care attitude, but very quickly I saw that this wasn’t an enthusiastic attitude he carried, but a cocky one.

This is your typical boiler-room style say anything sales pitch that really offers you no insight as to what the product actually does for you, or what he will do for you as a coach. This video and article is filled with fluff to get you to click buy at the end of the whole deal.

Jason talks about your excitement and drive as all of these scammers do when they try and rope you in, and then he begins insulting you if you don’t vibe with what he’s saying. He starts talking about how you just won’t be a “badass” or rise to the top like he and his cronies.

References

Jason tries to pull together some really outlandish references here. He claims that people like Richard Branson, Steve Jobs, Robert Downey Jr., etc, all used a very similar method to his method in order to become rich and famous.

I don’t know about you but I smell something fishy here. Buyer beware: these guys busted their backsides all their lives to get where they are. They didn’t purchase some online coaching program where the self-proclaimed millionaire danced around in front of the camera and cursed and yelled about how he wants you to be rich after you flip the special switch in your head.

Jason also references people that he deems unattractive, and directly objectifies women (a perpetual problem in our society already, why add to it). Don’t believe that statement? Here’s a widget he uses:

After reading the caption I have no clue what this has to do with becoming a millionaire online, or generating passive income. Do you have any idea?

Testimonials:

Mr. Capital then uses a bunch of testimonials, as does every site trying to pump and dump you right back on your face after spending a ton of money on their programs. Here’s examples:

These are your typical testimonials that realistically could have been written up by anyone. This is worse than what I usually see when finding these scams. There are not even any videos of these people making these statements or flashing checks around. Don’t feed into this.

Closing Thoughts

I honestly can’t write anymore on this program. As I go through more of the video training and the free 2 weeks of nothing that is offered I get more and more offended that this guy thinks dudes buy into this stuff.

I’m guessing it has worked for him before, but let me tell all of you right now, this is not how you generate income online. This is not how to ethically create an empire for yourself and inspire others. If there is one thing I can tell you to do, it’s to avoid the hell out of this guy’s program.

I don’t know what he was thinking in creating this “action-taker community” or support system as he wants to call it but this is really just a perpetual high school locker room talk forum. If you get excited by these things then by all means jam on over and check it out yourself. After all here’s a quote that should be inspiring right?

Having a “bulging” bank account has nothing to do with your confidence level. Having a stable passive income that you have created through hard work and dedication (not some get rich quick scheme) shows boldness and shows someone worth following. In addition, just because your bank account is loaded does not mean you are worth sleeping with.

Take a step back because if women is why you are pursuing wealth, you need to rethink your values. I’m sorry, but I refuse to sell out and promote products like these and jump around and tell you how awesome it was.

I’m serious, if you don’t believe me go look at his intro page for yourself, and make sure to unsubscribe to his emails right away or you’ll be trapped in that never ending black hole.

MAKE MONEY THE RIGHT WAY, BE A TRUE ENTREPRENEUR, BUST YOUR ASS, BE REWARDED.

Go check out my articles on what actually works and what is actually worth your time. I wrote up a great review on Wealthy Affiliate recently and explained all about how that system works.

If you have a different experience and want to share, please leave me a comment, I would love to hear if there is any smidgeon of hope or goodness in this disaster of a program.

Disclaimer: Usually I would write a much more comprehensive overview of how the product operates, what it is worth, who it’s appropriate for and who wouldn’t enjoy it, but with this, I was so disgusted I could only chug out a few hundred words before my fingers got tired of all the BS.

Top MLM Scams: How to Lose Money Online

There’s something happening every day on the internet, and most of you are probably catching wind of it and that’s why you’re here. I am going to outline for you exactly what an Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) scheme is and explain to you exactly how these rotten people are scamming you out of your hard earned money.

What is an MLM?

An MLM is a style of marketing scheme that has been around on the internet for years. It essentially consists of a product or products that you market to the public online. The catch is…YOU have to buy the product before you can actually make commission.

Next, you can “scale up” your “business” by buying more and more expensive items on the scale. Anyone who buys product underneath you or falls into your downline then becomes the person you make commission on. (Sound like a classic illegal Pyramid Scheme yet?)

More often than not, these products are absolutely useless, and are filled with more promises that these companies cannot keep. Hence the reason they are all in huge lawsuits with each other and regular people like yourself.

Now when people first start to research how they can generate revenue online, they usually stumble across one or two of these so called “systems” or “courses”.

Most of these people will be “self-proclaimed millionaires”. They will promise you the world in a month, tell you you’ll be rich and cruising the California coastline in your McLaren, sailing the high seas on your yacht, and living in a mansion with a giant heated swimming pool.

The fact of the matter is, THEY will STAY rich, and YOU will become POOR.

Top MLM Scam On The Market

Alright, I’m going to be honest here, the guys over at Digital Altitude almost got me with their Aspire Program. Now while I can’t give you specific details on their product or how it works, I can tell you that after a few Google Searches you’re going to find out all about their lawsuits.

Matter of fact, here is a direct link to the document transcripts that describe it.

How They Suck You In…

Only a photo of one of NASA’s spectacular black hole discoveries could explain to you how good these people are at selling you on BS.

I’m telling you, they are relentless and will do anything they can to keep you around for as long as possible. Here’s how they waste your time:

  • First, whoever caught your attention and sent you over to that link probably was boasting about all of their money and success. You probably thought “Oh I want some money and success” and shot on over to their fancy little link and then BOOM!
  • Promises on promises. The first thing you see on their website is bullshit testimonials from their top 5 people or a couple dudes on the street they paid $20 to do up a video in a Lambo they provided. Show me 500 true testimonials and then we can talk.
  • Then they give you personal mentors to sell you product and tell you exactly how to take out loans (for how to be an entrepreneur with no money click here) that you can “pay back easily with just a couple sales”. These guys are the real boiler room pump and dump style guys that have credentials and unethically take your money.
  • Last they push you through multiple training videos that really are just meant to tell you why their product is so fantastic and you should buy it.
  • In the end they almost do anything they can to keep you around. They spin every question you ask into some weird explanation that makes absolutely no sense and relate it back to you not having the proper mindset to pursue wealth.

The Product You Are Buying Into Is Not Cheap…

This is how they really get you. These MLM schemes decide to sell you products that cost upwards of $2,000 and range all the way up to $30,000.

Imagine… if you spent $30,000 on advertisement for your business, do you think you would gain any success or sales from this ad campaign? Let me tell you, if I spent that on traffic to my website here, I know for a fact I would see profit from that campaign. Even at a very low conversion rate.

Instead, these companies have you spending $30,000 on “training” that you can get for free all over the internet or on YouTube. Simply Google Digital Marketing Courses and I’m sure you’ll find all that you need.

So How Do You NOT Get Scammed Online?

Let me tell you about the other side of things, the side of digital marketing and true affiliate programs vs. MLM schemes.

  • No Downlines
  • No Forced Product Purchases
  • No Boiler Room Salesmen

  • Real Community With Thousands of People Willing to Help
  • Coursework Provided for FREE
  • FREE Website and Domain Hosting To Get You Started

If you want to understand how to make money on the internet the ethical and smart way, check out my review of Wealthy Affiliate. Here You will learn exactly what it means to generate revenue on the internet. You won’t be scammed out of your hard earned cash.

As always please leave comments if you have experienced any sort of MLM Scam or want to know more about how I make my money online the clean, ethical way.

How To Buy A Lamborghini for $49 Per Month

Most of you probably ended up here because you are trying to figure out the fastest, most realistic way to reaching your goals, living a life financially free. I’m here to explain just how to do that.

No Empty Promises

One big problem I have with all these “self-proclaimed millionaires” out there is that they take photos of their cash, nice cars, boats, and travel and spit it all at you in some huge marketing scheme to get you to buy into their BS.

I’m not that sort of guy. You won’t get any empty promises from me, and I’m not going to tell you that you won’t have to bust your ass in the beginning to achieve your goals. I’ve always been a firm believer in getting in what you put out. So sit down and listen and I’ll tell you just how to buy yourself a Lamborghini.

A Brand New Lamborghini is EXPENSIVE

Most of these babies run around $200k brand new. That’s usually for the more basic models and the price is only going up. The 2015 Lamborghini Aventador (my personal favorite model) for example runs more like $400-$450k brand new.

This is not unattainable, but it will take hard work. You see $400k now and it seems so far off, but maybe it doesn’t, and maybe that’s why you’re here. Maybe you are hungry, maybe you are driven, maybe the luxury lifestyle IS just around the corner for you. Yes, maybe a longer corner than a couple months, but a couple years? That’s realistic.

Where To Start?

I’m assuming you are starting from scratch here, and this is probably a fair assumption because that’s where I started from, $0. I’m telling you this will not be a problem.

Initially you will be scared to take risk or dedicate your time to this, people have probably tried to scam you out of hard earned money before through MLM schemes or overcharging for “make money now” guides.

I have an absolutely free solution to your problem.

Become An Affiliate Marketer

Buying a Lamborghini should not be the first thing on your list of to-dos. While it is a great goal, you want to make sure that you have built yourself a solid passive income that is growing each month.

If you want more information on the basics of being an entrepreneur I recently wrote a post on “Being An Entrepreneur With No Money”.

Think about this for a second:

How much time do you spend surfing the internet? Reading reviews before buying things? Learning new things? Posting on Social Media?

What if you were making money doing all these things you do anyway?

Where there is a will there is a way. If you become an Affiliate for any site, you are eligible to receive commissions from promoting their products.

Here’s how it works: I write a blog post, like this one for example… Integrate an Ad or a Link (See Below)

Then, say you see something you like and go buy it through that Ad, I receive commission from it. The exact same thing happens when you join affiliate programs.

You can take the same routes I have and build multiple websites with a ton of content on different products and push Amazon ads all day, or you can join an Affiliate Program and receive commission while learning.

Affiliate Program That Teaches You

I’m part of a fantastic community on the internet that teaches you exactly how to build an affiliate website and grow you businesses online. It has turned out to be extremely successful for me thus far, and allows me to generate a passive income.

This passive income can be anywhere from $20-20,000 a month. In fact, there are people that perform much better than I do that can make six figures a month with the right content.

The benefit of this community is that you can sign up absolutely FREE. You actually never have to pay anything if you don’t want to, but if you go Premium for $49 monthly, you can double your commission values when people sign up to learn.

If you want to read more about the specifics of this program I encourage you to shoot over and read my review on Wealthy Affiliate as it sheds a lot of light on just how quality this program is.

Anyone Can Be An Affiliate

People always come to me and say, “I’m waiting to finish college” or “I have a full time job”, this is absolutely no excuse. I literally spend around 30 minutes a day creating genuine content for my readers, they respond, and it generates revenue. If you can’t dedicate 30 minutes a day to pursuing your dreams, then you weren’t meant to achieve your dreams.

That statement is not to be a stab at anyone, but if you don’t work hard you will not reap the benefits.

There are Winners and Losers in this life, and it’s up to you to make yourself a winner.

Do what I did, get excited, build your website for free, upgrade to Premium, begin to generate passive income online, from home, without a brick and mortar investment.

You’ll be living a lifestyle of financial freedom and luxury in just a short couple years, put in the time now, hustle every day, see results.

Pursue, Grow, Achieve, Succeed.

If you want to learn more about how I generate income online, please feel free to drop a comment down below, or head over to my Wealthy Affiliate Profile and I’ll be sure to chat with you there.

How To Be An Entrepreneur With No Money

Many people use the excuse that they have no money to start their own business. This usually holds people back from really pursuing their dreams or pushing forward with ideas.

This is the exact problem with most people today, they are afraid of failure. What they fail to realize, is that you don’t have to have money to be an entrepreneur.

Different Types of Entrepreneurs

There are different types of entrepreneurs, and in order to become an entrepreneur yourself you need to know what these are.

  1. Brick and Mortar Style Entrepreneurs. These are the entrepreneurs that go out, take out a small business loan, risk their hard earned cash on a piece of property, a lease, or manufacturing a product. While this is an okay way to become an entrepreneur, it’s not going to be done with no money down.
  2. Online Sales Entrepreneurs. These are the entrepreneurs that build a website, sink some money into manufacturing a product once again, and then sell that product online through their websites. This can work as well, and over time maybe this is where you plan to be. However, when you’re just starting out this can’t be done. Reason? You have no money.
  3. Affiliate Marketing Entrepreneurs. This is the category you will fall into. Affiliate Marketing Entrepreneurs are those that build websites, generate quality content, and then advertise other sites products. A common example is Amazon’s Affiliate Program. All the traffic you send to their site that generates sales ends with you receiving commission.

Where to start?

I know you probably have no idea how you’re going to kick off your career as an entrepreneur, and I understand that you are here looking for help. I’m here to provide you that help.

The first step to becoming a successful entrepreneur is to build a website. Usually this task is extremely daunting, but luckily, there are resources out there like SiteRubix through Wealthy Affiliate that will help you to build a website for free. Click on the picture below to get a detailed walkthrough on creating your site.

In my opinion, I like to have my own personalized domain names so I actually do go purchase a domain as soon as I get the chance, but for now, we have no money so free domains it is!

Ideally you want to build out a few pages of really good content, allow your reader to understand who you are and gain some trust that what you post is meant for good. Once you get a website framework up and running you can move on to the next step.

Finding Your Niche

A niche is the specific topic or area of interest you want your site to target. If you are really into a particular sport, say baseball, then you would want to focus your website around your favorite part of the game.

If you really like baseball bats, a more specific niche, then maybe you can build a site that talks about the best bats for their price, and market them through Amazon. The sales you get on bats through Amazon will allow you to make commission, and considering baseball bats aren’t cheap, you can make a decent commission on every bat you sell.

Baseball bats are really just one example of a niche you can choose for your online business, ideally over time you will develop a couple sites that you really enjoy managing, and that’s how you will begin to generate a passive income.

Scaling Up and Tying to Social Media

Now I’ve recently discovered a great Instagram Growth Strategist by the name of Anthony Carbone. He shows you the basics of Instagram, and how to begin generating income through social media with his Wolf Millionaire Training Guide.

Personally, I like to tie my sites to social media. Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook see more traffic than almost any other site besides Google in a day. If you can learn and understand how to generate an active, interested following, then usually this will create traffic to your site, or allow you to advertise for others on these social media platforms. This brings me to my next point:

Advertising

Eventually you will want to advertise. There are multiple forms of advertisement. A good example is PPC or Pay Per Click advertisement. If you want to learn more about specific types of advertising I’d suggest checking out this free course:

After you understand the different forms of advertising, and when and where to use them, you will start to realize that your online business is now generating more revenue than you had initially imagined.

Getting Your Cash

Ideally, you’ll be creating an income in just a few short weeks. Now you have to understand that becoming an entrepreneur with no money is not necessarily easy, otherwise everyone would be doing it. But, with some time and effort, and the creation of a quality website that fits within your niche, you’ll be affiliate marketing yourself to the big bucks in no time.

I personally have seen plenty of my friends turn $0 initial investments into hundred of thousands of dollars in just a few months. How do you think I ended up in this field?

I hope that this give you a solid introduction into the basics of becoming an online entrepreneur, and I hope that you’re now ready to start your journey on the path to creating generational wealth and passive income on the internet. If you want the tools that you need to learn exactly how to become a successful online marketer, check out my Wealthy Affiliate Review and see what you think.
